This was a fun project: a revolutionary new journal about disruptive medical technology and policy. The concept by the university underwriting the project was "louder and messier than anything else you've done," which in the field of academic, peer-reviewed publishing wasn't very loud or messy, as you might imagine, but it was right in my wheelhouse. Here are the concepts I developed. The original direction pushed for more and more handwritten elements, but as more stakeholders became involved we evolved away from that, towards my final pitch.
